Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
Pray is a prayer list for iPhone. This page says what the app collects, what it is used for, who can see it, and how to remove it.
Using Pray without an account
You can use Pray without signing in. Your people, prayers, notes, photos, praise and reminder settings then stay on your iPhone and are not sent to us.
What we collect when you sign in
- Account. Sign in with Apple gives us an account identifier and the email address Apple shares, which may be a private relay address. We use them only to sign you in.
- Profile. The display name and photo you choose.
- Your prayer list. The people you pray for, their photos, your prayers and notes, your prayer history, praise reports and reminder settings are backed up to your account so they follow you to a new phone.
- What you share. Prayer requests, updates and answers you send to a group or to a person, and the Amens you give to requests other people shared with you.
- Device. A push notification token, so we can tell you when someone asks you to pray or prays for you.
- Reports. If you report a request, we keep the report and a copy of the reported words so we can review it.
Pray has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and we do not sell or share your information for marketing.
Who can see what
- Your private prayer list is visible only to your account.
- A request shared with a group is visible to that group's members. A request sent to one person is visible to that person.
- People in your groups, and people you are connected to, see your display name and photo. They never see your email address.
- When you pray for someone's request, the person who asked can see that you prayed.
- Someone who opens an invitation link sees the sender's name or the group's name before joining. They do not see the prayer.
We access account data only when needed to run the service, review a report, or meet a legal obligation.
Microphone, speech and photos
If you dictate a prayer, the audio is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition, which may process it on Apple's servers. Pray does not store or receive the audio. Photos you pick are stored with the person or profile you attach them to.
Where it is kept
Account data is stored with Supabase, our database and file hosting provider. This website is served by Vercel. Notifications are delivered through Apple. These providers process data on our behalf and only to provide the service.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. To delete it, open Pray, go to Profile and choose Remove account. This permanently removes your profile, your backed-up prayer list, your requests, your group memberships and your connections. Reports you made are kept without your identity. You can also ask us to delete your account by email.
Children
Pray is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
